Terms of Use

Koda is a free Mac app. An AI agent builds apps and documents in folders on your computer, under your direction. Koda is currently in beta.

You may use Koda for personal or commercial work. You may not resell the app or redistribute it as your own.

Koda claims no rights to anything you create with it. Your projects and files belong to you.

The agent runs on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan, or your own API key. That account, its bills, and its rules are between you and Anthropic or OpenAI, and their usage policies apply.

Koda's agent creates and edits files on your computer. Koda saves restore points automatically, but you approve the agent's actions, and you should keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Koda is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise it will be free of errors or fit for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or lost work, arising from your use of Koda. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Koda in the twelve months before the claim.

Do not abuse the update or feedback services, and do not use Koda for unlawful purposes.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use Koda after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, USA.
