First public build of Koda, a guardrailed AI coding desktop app for macOS.

Koda runs on your own subscription: Claude Code with a Claude Pro or Max plan, or OpenAI Codex with a ChatGPT plan. You pick the engine and Koda handles the guardrails.

Requirements: an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later) on macOS 11 or newer. Signed and notarized.

What's in this release

• In-app auto-update: Koda checks for new versions on launch and in the background, downloads them quietly, and asks you to restart when one is ready. Nothing installs on its own.
• "What's New" appears once after an update with a short summary of what changed.
• Settings shows the app and engine versions and a "Check for updates" button.
