Do I need to know how to code?
No. You give directions in plain words, the agent does the building, and you approve each step it wants to take.
What does it cost?
The app is free. The only cost is your own Claude or ChatGPT plan, which pays for the engine that does the work.
Are there credits to buy?
No. Koda runs on the AI plan you already have, so there is nothing to top up inside the app.
Which AI does it use?
Your choice of Claude or ChatGPT. You sign in with the plan you already pay for, and Koda runs either one.
Where do my files live?
On your Mac, as normal folders. You can open them in any other app or move them somewhere else whenever you want.
Can you see my work?
No. Your chats and files go straight from your Mac to Anthropic or OpenAI, and Koda is not in the middle. We never sell your data and we never look inside your files.
How is this different from using the agent on its own?
Koda adds an automatic undo history, a safe workspace, and views for your files and live previews, so you can work without a terminal and go back if something breaks.
What if I want to leave?
Everything is a folder on your computer, so you can stop using Koda and keep all of it.
