Why Koda

Product designer, 14 years of startups · rbaten.com
After getting unlocked by Claude Code, I started building apps going from terminal to VS Code to specialty editors. But shipping a product is more than code. I was bouncing between apps for planning, writing, design, and marketing. Koda is for me to consolidate and work from one spot.

Most projects like this die and I've made my share of dead ones. I keep building Koda because I use it every day and it keeps making me faster.
But Koda is free and open source. It runs on the Claude or ChatGPT plan you already pay for, and there are no credits to buy inside it.
Your projects are folders on your Mac. There's no account and no server holding your work, so everything is yours to keep even if you stop using Koda. I don't sell your data and I can't see your files.
Koda is young. If something would make it better for you, let me know on the feedback page.
